Delton, MI: Tree Removal in Lake Country
Delton is a census-designated community of about 850 in Barry Township, Barry County, thirty-seven minutes northwest of Battle Creek, centered where M-43 meets East Orchard Street. The east end of Crooked Lake fills its western side, and Wall Lake and a dozen other kettle lakes lie within a few miles, so the roads bend around water and the drive is our slowest per mile.
Shorelines carry big white and red oaks and cottonwoods on steep sandy banks, cottage lots are narrow with a roof and a dock in every fall zone, and the farm ground between lakes holds sugar maple, black cherry and spruce windbreaks. Dead ash lines every lake road.
