Cereal City Tree Service is a crew of four based in Battle Creek, Michigan, and we like it that way. Whoever looks at your tree most likely cuts it, and whoever picks up the phone knows this week's calendar.
Owner & Climber
Reid grew up in Pennfield Township, just north of the city, and spent six seasons on a storm-cleanup and line-clearance crew across Calhoun, Kalamazoo and Barry counties before starting the company in 2015 with one bucket truck and a chipper. He still climbs, still runs the technical takedowns beside houses and service drops, and still sees most jobs before they are booked.
Estimates & Scheduling
Marisol is usually the first voice you hear. She books the estimate visit, sends the written price and holds the calendar together after a storm, when calls outrun the crew. Want to know when the truck will pull up? Ask Marisol.
Crew Lead & Equipment
Tanner runs the equipment: the bucket truck, the chipper, the stump grinder, and the clearing gear on lake-lot and woodlot jobs. On a removal near a structure he sets the rigging and works the ground while Reid or Eli is in the tree, and he is the reason the yard is clean when the truck pulls out.
Climber / Groundman
Eli climbs the trees the bucket cannot reach, like the big silver maples in the back corner of an older Battle Creek lot or the oaks and beeches in the woods behind a lake house, and works the ground on everything else: rope work, sectioning trunks, feeding the chipper, and hauling brush.
