Where We Work
Cereal City Tree Service is based in Battle Creek, Michigan, where I-94 skirts the south side, I-194 runs into downtown, and the Battle Creek River meets the Kalamazoo a few blocks from the Sojourner Truth monument. Closest to home we work Springfield, Urbandale and Pennfield, Bedford and Emmett townships, where old silver maples and box elders line the streets and dead ash stands in every hedgerow.
Farther out, the soil shifts from sandy outwash by the rivers to heavier moraine loam, and the kettle lakes (Goguac, Gull, Wall) bring their own lake-lot trees. The same summer wind and winter ice cross all of it. Every town below, out to Albion on the river forks and Union City on the St. Joseph, gets the same crew, the same written estimate and the same southwest Michigan price ranges.

Calhoun County (unincorporated), 9.2 road miles, 14 min. The old dam hamlet on the Kalamazoo River along the original Michigan Avenue route toward Marshall.
Kalamazoo County, 10.1 road miles, 17 min. A small village south of I-94 among the farm fields and windbreaks of southeastern Kalamazoo County.

Barry County (unincorporated), 16.9 road miles, 28 min. Home of the Gilmore Car Museum and the Kellogg Biological Station at the north end of Gull Lake.

Branch County, 24.7 road miles, 36 min. Our one Branch County stop, on the St. Joseph River south of the Calhoun line.
Calhoun County, 25.8 road miles, 31 min. The I-94 college town where the forks of the Kalamazoo River meet, home of Albion College.
